Dinking
- Contact Point: Out in front. Push through the ball.
- Weight Transfer: Allow weight to flow into your shot.
- Body Positioning: Square up to the ball.
- Hands: Soft hand, continental grip, lay back wrist.
- Swing: Smooth even swing tempo, no backswing.
- Follow through where you placed the ball
NVZ Shallow vs Deep
- Use a court strips for depth measure at NVZ - shallow & deep
- Can be self fed or cooperative rally, both straight on and cross court
- 1- assign players shallow
- 2- assign players deep
- 3- assign players opposite depths
- 4- both players alternate depths each hit
Punch Volley
- Contact Point: Out in front. Push forward through ball with guiding motion.
- Weight Transfer: Allow weight to flow into your shot.Ā
- Body Positioning: Good Ready Position
- Hands: Continental grip with medium strength.
- Swing: Follow through pointing your paddle out in front where you placedthe ball. Do not over follow through-keep it compact and out in front.
Volley Grinder
- Players stand straight on at NVZ.
- Engage in a cooperative volley rally with the intent to see how long they can keep the rally going.
- Set timer for 1 min round and see how many they can do without messing up. Repeat and try to beat your score.
- Improves volley consistency and ball control.
