Notes & Homework
Drill: 3rd/4th Broken Up Bowtie:
- 1 player at NVL hitting 4th and 1 player at Baseline hitting drops - Skinny Court
- NVL player feeds the start of the drill
- This is cooperative - go slow so you succeed
1- Players hit straight on- forehand to backhand
2- Players hit cross court - backhand to backhand
3- Players hit straight on - backhand to forehand on the opposite side from round 1
4- Players hit cross court - forehand to forehand
5- BOW TIE PUT TOGETHER
Drill: Serve, Return and Drive with Targets
- Hitting Serve, Return and then drive with accuracy
- Returner is working on load and kinetic chain as well
- Set up ball tubes as Center Mass and middle shot, Cones deep down the line and mid court cross court
- Serve, Return then drive at the targets
- Go until basket is ½ full then switch odd/even side
- When basket is empty and switch jobs
Drill: 30/60/90
- 1 player at NVZ, 1 player at baseline
- NVZ feeds to partner who hits 30% shot = drop
- NVZ player backs up a couple steps and baseliner hits 60% shot = deep mid pace drop at NVZ players feet
- NVZ player steps back forward to NVZ line and baseliner hits 90% drive, NVZ player volleys
Drill: Skinny Singles
- Focus on accuracy with drops, drives and 4th shots
- Observe the court and aim accordingly

- See the Court and place your shots strategically
- Take your time and be accurate
