Dink &Â Erne

Dink Accuracy
- Contact Point: Push through the ball. GUIDE the ball don’t STRIKE the ball.
- Weight Transfer: Allow weight to transfer into the shot.
- Body Positioning: Square up to the ball.
- Hands: Soft Continental grip. Laid back wrist.
- Swing: Slow even swing speed. If overhitting the ball, slow down your swing.
- Follow through at your target.
Cone Heads
- Put 3 cones 1 ft inside the NVZ, 1 in front of player, and 1 ft on either side of player’s stance.
- Place a ball on top of each cone as a target.
- Players stand straight on at NVZ.
- Players dink straight on trying to knock the ball off opponents cones while protecting their own by taking dinks out of the air.
- Working on targeting opponents in prep to set up the Erne
Erne
- When To Hit: Opponent close to sideline & compromised. Achieve by hitting them side to side, then go. Or push them deeper over course of a few shots. Or deep sideline dink causes them to look down to hit ball.
- Prep: Follow ball as it goes to the sideline-can straddle corner as a start if needed. Partner shades with you. You can jump corner or go around it.
